These Might Be The Next Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Characters

The internet is losing it over "Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl," a new fighting game headlined by everyone's favorite cartoon characters. The upcoming title will even feature rollback netcode, which reduces the lag that gamers sometimes experience in online play. Despite all the exciting features that have been announced, fans still have one important question: who are the rest of the characters coming to the game?

Many of the game's more iconic characters, iconic SpongeBob Squarepants, appeared in the trailer for "Nickolodeon All-Star Brawl," alongside surprise inclusions like Oblina from "AAAHH!!! Real Monsters." However, many of the game's characters remain a mystery. The official box art for the game has been teased by Nickelodeon, but the characters gracing the cover are blacked out, merely silhouettes of their true selves.

However, these shadows are better than nothing, and some fans have been trying to figure out the rest of the "All-Star Brawl" roster. In particular, a Twitter user named MaximumFlyer has been hard at work identifying the game's fighters based on their silhouettes. It's not a perfect science, and MaximumFlyer has frequently changed their opinions on who the box art concealed.

MaximumFlyer's initial guess included several confirmed heroes, like Powdered Toast Man and Oblina, but some of the characters featured on the middle of the box were too overlapped to identify.

Speculation abounds

After careful consideration, MaximumFlyer posted a revised guess, commenting that the middle characters were difficult to identify because they were too close together. The PS4 cover proved most useful to MaximumFlyer, because the characters appeared to be slightly less cluttered. In addition to Powdered Toast Man, Oblina, Reptar, Spongebob, and Patrick, all of whom were confirmed in the trailer for "Nickolodeon All-Star Brawl," MaximumFlyer guessed that Aang, Korra, CatDog, and Ren and Stimpy will make an appearance.

Fans seemed particularly excited for the potential inclusion of characters from "Avatar: The Last Airbender." One astute gamer noted that a level featured in the trailer for "Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl" seemed reminiscent of a location in "Avatar." Another fan drew over the silhouettes on the game's cover to show how Aang and Korra might be included and posed in the official artwork. In addition to the two benders, Jackelzxa suspected April O'Neil (from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles") might be included in the cast as well.

"Avatar: The Last Airbender" and its sequel show, "The Legend of Korra," experienced a resurgence in popularity throughout 2020 and 2021. Nickelodeon even created the new Avatar Studios to work on new content in the world of Aang and friends, so it makes sense that these characters might make an appearance in Nick's latest game. Until more official announcements are made, however, fans will continue to daydream about the possibilities of "Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl."
