Elden Ring: What's The Most Powerful Great Hammer?
There are a lot of great character builds in "Elden Ring." Players get to choose from various classes that can excel in dexterous combat with light weapons or builds that can fire off ranged spells — there's a build for pretty much every player. But there's something special about using a character class that can stroll into combat wielding a weapon that's bigger than they are. Giant two-handed weapons are the bread and butter of Strength builds in "Soulsborne" games and finding the right one can be a big help on a player's journey to become the Elden Lord.
Getting a good Colossal Sword is one option, but if players really want their character to hit their enemies like a truck, then there are few weapons more powerful than a Great Hammer (AKA Warhammer). These weapons trade speed for power and reach, challenging the player to master their timing in exchange for the ability to take down their enemy's health in the biggest chunks possible. But which Great Hammer hammers enemies the hardest? Well, there are a few really powerful ones, but one stands out above the rest.
The Envoy's Long Horn blasts enemies away
Some fans might point to the Beastclaw Greathammer or the Cranial Vessel Candlestand as the best Great Hammer in "Elden Ring," and those are solid choices. They are both powerful weapons with solid stats and good special abilities. There are a few reasons why Envoy's Long Horn is just a bit better, though.
Envoy's Long Horn has a good, long reach and the stats on it are nothing to sniff at. A fully upgraded version of the weapon scales to C Strength, D Dexterity and B Faith. It also boasts 294 Physical and 191 Holy attack power while inflicting 154 Stagger, which makes it especially useful against any undead enemies the player might encounter.
On top of all that, it also has one of the better special abilities. The Envoy's Long Horn's weapon skill is called Bubble Shower, which looks exactly how it sounds: The player blows into the horn and a shower of radiant bubbles shoots out of the other end. Silly as that might sound, though, this attack has a good range and actually deals a fair bit of damage (which scales with the player's Faith skill).
Those who wish to use the Envoy's Long Horn can obtain it by defeating the large Oracle Envoy in the Royal Capital Leyndell. The creature is located on the East Capital Rampart and will drop the coveted weapon once it has been killed. It is also possible for the same enemies to drop the Long Horn at Miquella's Haligtree.
