As painful as his untimely death was for those close to him and the greater "Overwatch" and Fusion community, Alarm's legacy is something worth celebrating. On May 5, "Overwatch" League did just that in a touching tribute shared on Twitter. Along with a three-minute video honoring Alarm's life and career, the organization unveiled some meaningful news in the accompanying caption: "Kyeongbo 'Alarm' Kim was an inspiration to many, his impact as a player, teammate, and friend will never be forgotten. To honor his legacy, we are introducing the Alarm Rookie of the Year Award."

It's quite fitting that the award named in Alarm's honor is one he earned during his lifetime. "Overwatch" community members found the recognition a beautiful way to memorialize him and the mark he made on his fans, loved ones, and fellow gamers.
