Fall Guys: The Best Tips To Win The Sum Fruit Mini-Game

"Fall Guys" launched its latest season, which came with expanded platform support and new mini-games. "Sum Fruit" is one of these new mini-games, which picks at players' memories with a logic puzzle. If you played "Fall Guys" at launch, it will probably remind you of the fruit-themed "Perfect Match" puzzle.

Sum Fruit's rules are simple: Memorize the number of fruits in the arena before the timer runs out and then stand on the tile that corresponds with the number on the screen. As seen on Hadski Gaming's channel, slime fills the area after the timer runs out and a number appears on the screens around the arena. If the screen shows the number 3, then which fruit had 3 copies? If there were three bananas, stand on the banana tile. Beware: Some players are not aware that this game doesn't work like "Perfect Match."

At the beginning of the round, players will be able to scope out the number of giant fruits from the platforms around the arena. Only a handful of fruit appear in the beginning, but the number increases in later rounds. Understandably, keeping track of the exact number of fruits will become more difficult as the round goes on.

So what's the best strategy for winning Sum Fruit? Here are a few pointers.

Fruit salad, yummy yummy

Hadski Gaming suggests a couple of strategies in his video, including this one. First, climb onto one of the platforms so you have a 360 degree view of the arena at the start of each round. Otherwise, you won't be able to accurately count the number of fruit.

Then, repeat the numbers for each fruit out loud to yourself, even if you have to whisper them. For example, "three mango, two banana, one coconut." Experts report that reading out loud helps people actively listen, which makes spoken material stand out more distinctly in long-term memory. It's more memorable because more of your senses are engaging with it.

If all else fails, take a gamble on the tile with the most players. In later rounds, many players will confuse the number of fruit without proper memorization techniques. At least, if you're wrong, you won't be the only one who suffers. You can even push other players into the slime to eliminate your competition. However, if you're a player that doesn't feel comfortable getting their hands dirty, you can also grab other players to prevent yourself from falling off the tile. Even if you fall, you have a hostage.
