  • A lifelong gamer, Kyle learned early on that fantasy RPGs and competitive strategy games were his forte. His all-nighters have consisted of the likes of "World of Warcraft," "Dark Souls," and "League of Legends."

It detailed how specific mechanics from games like "Super Mario Odyssey" translate well into educational settings.

Experience

Kyle finished his college studies intending to become an English teacher. Video game writing was there for him when that plan did not work out. After testing out academic publishing, Kyle began writing for GamingCypher, an online video game magazine. There, he refined his video game journalism with reviews and previews. Kyle started contributing to SVG as a feature writer in 2021.

Education

Kyle earned a B.A. in English from Michigan State University in 2018. He graduated with honors and received a scholarship for outstanding media analysis.
