Mae is an avid consumer of film and television, both as a fan and as a professional. A bibliophile with a fondness for film noir and all things sci-fi/fantasy, Mae's interests run the gamut. As a long-time writer of fan fiction, Mae's love of fan culture runs deep. She has worked as a production assistant for major streaming services like Netflix, Apple TV, and Amazon Prime, as well as independent production companies. Mae was inspired to pursue a career as a freelance writer after an extended period studying travel writing in Europe. Mae has worked as an entertainment news writer for websites like FanSided, Mental Floss, and Floor8. Mae also has experience as a journalist for her hometown newspaper.


Mae received her bachelor's degree in communication science from Emerson College, a liberal arts college located in the heart of downtown Boston.
