The Most Money MrBeast Has Ever Spent On A Video

YouTube personality and content creator Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson is among the most prolific figures on the internet these days. The YouTuber is known for his videos' high production values and creative concepts, mostly involving real-life recreations of popular IPs. Example of this include MrBeast's recreation of Netflix series "Squid Game" and even a real-life version of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. Such monumental videos have resulted in MrBeast becoming one of the most successful content creators in recent memory, having garnered over 100 million subscribers and over 18 billion views. But it's also come at a cost.

In order to accomplish such huge feats in his videos, MrBeast has done some major damage to his bank account. This has set him apart from other content creators and has certainly played a role in establishing a media empire made up of not just high-quality videos, but even a burger franchise at this point. Out of all of the videos he's created, which one stands as his most costly?

MrBeast spent $3.5 million on the Squid Game video

Based on public knowledge, the most expensive video MrBeast has made is the aforementioned "Squid Game" recreation. According to the man himself, he spent a whopping $3.5 million on the video's production, which included full costumes, set design, and practical effects, such as squibs to show which of the players were eliminated from each competition. Of MrBeast's videos, it is the one with the highest documented price tag. However, it might not be the most expensive video he's ever created.

As part of his 100 million subscriber special, MrBeast took some of his subscribers to an island where they participated in a series of challenges in order to win the island for themselves. Prior to its release, MrBeast hyped up this video to be his "most expensive." According to James Edition, private islands can cost anywhere from $500,000 to $65 million. The island MrBeast gave away was reportedly worth approximately $2 million (via the Daily Pennsylvanian), which is below the $3.5 million it cost to recreate "Squid Game." While additional production costs could've brought it above that threshold, there is unfortunately a lack of evidence to say that it did, making his "Squid Game" video his most costly on record.
