How To Beat Enyobon In World Of Warcraft

While the "World of Warcraft"' "Dragonflight" expansion might have had a rough start, it came with a ton of new Pet Battle content, including new achievements, abilities, World Quests, and, of course, a slew of new Pet Battles to challenge and defeat across the newly introduced Dragon Isles.

Of them, a required fight for the new Battle on the Dragon Isles achievement is Enyobon. This golden dragonfly is a pet battle enemy that can be found in Thaldrazsus (coordinates 39.4, 73.4) and is the main objective for the "The Oldest Dragonfly" world quest, which awards 9,050 experience points and 25 Reputation with the Valdrakken Accord (per WoWHead). While not particularly hard-hitting, Enyobon is a Boss Pet that only takes half damage from all attacks and "cannot be dealt more than 35% of their maximum health in one attack," making it somewhat tricky to take down without knowing what to aim for.

On the other hand, winning the fight is extremely easy if you do know how to approach it effectively — here's how to beat Enyobon in "World of Warcraft: Dragonflight."

Find and level a Nexus Whelping

Of course, there are multiple viable approaches to this fight — but according to multiple players' attestations on WoWHead, the key to an easy victory is none other than a fully leveled Nexus Whelpling. Having very few defenses against powerful magic attacks, apparently Enyobon will go down in a few turns when faced against a Nexus Whelpling with the Arcane Storm and Mana Surge abilities, with perhaps a Stormborne Whelpling as second in your lineup just in case.

Ideally, your Nexus Whelpling should be the P/P breed, though judging by the comments, this doesn't affect your odds too badly. These little dragons were introduced in the "Mists of Pandaria" expansion and can be found on Coldarra, the island off the west coast of the Borean Tundra region (via WarcraftPets.com). While they used to be uncommon, players report that their spawn rates have been raised since their initial release and can be found fairly quickly while exploring the island.

The main strategy when facing off against an Enyobon seems to be to open with an Arcane Storm, use Mana Surge, then try to fire off another Arcane Storm before finishing off the fight with any second or third pets as needed. If you've brought all Dragonkin pets to the fight, the victory will count towards the Dragonkin Battle of the Dragon Isles achievement as well.
