Watch The Launch Trailer For Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch Remastered

We're just a few days away from seeing Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered on PC and PlayStation 4. And we're the same number of days from seeing the non-remastered Ni no Kuni on Nintendo Switch. How about a trailer?

Bandai Namco uploaded what we presume is the final trailer for the first Ni no Kuni before it arrives on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch this Friday. If you have your heart set on revisiting this title, or if you're completely new to the franchise, you owe it to yourself to go give it a look.

For those who've never played Ni no Kuni before, welcome! The first game in the series — the one now being brought forward to PC, PS4, and Switch — originally released on the Nintendo DS as Ni no Kuni: Dominion of the Dark Djinn in 2010. That version stayed in Japan, but an improved take on the title called Wrath of the White Witch saw a wider release on PlayStation 3 in 2013.

Wrath of the White Witch was critically acclaimed, so it's nice to see it coming to new platforms; especially since it's follow-up, 2018's No no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom, also scored well with critics. As for why the Nintendo Switch is getting the short end of the stick, well, your guess is as good as ours. We know the Switch lacks in power, but we're still surprised that Bandai Namco is dropping the "Remastered" tag from the Switch version entirely.

You might want to wait for some reviews of the Switch version before you buy it. Just as a precaution.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered comes to PC and PlayStation 4 on Sept. 20, 2019. The Nintendo Switch gets a port of the original Wrath of the White Witch on that same date.
