Capcom's Unnanounced Game Gets The Rumor Mill Going

Capcom has had a pretty good showing in 2019. Between Devil May Cry 5 and Resident Evil 2, the developer's had a healthy presence in various end-of-year discussions among critics and fans alike. That doesn't mean the company isn't looking forward to 2020, though. Resident Evil 3 Remake is coming in April, and it looks like Capcom has another trick up its sleeve.

Recently, the studio sent out an email to everyone in the Resident Evil Ambassador program that hints at yet another upcoming title in the pipeline. The email came specifically from Tsuyoshi Otani, a producer that works with the program.

"Also, as limited offers to Ambassadors, we have invitations to a play test session of our unannounced title, and priority seats at our game show booth," the email reads, per a post on Reddit.

Considering this email was sent out to the Resident Evil Ambassadors, we can only guess that this mysterious title has something to do with Resident Evil. Could it be a first glance at Resident Evil 8? Or does the team already have a remake planned for Resident Evil 4? It could even be something weird and unexpected, like Project Resistance, which Capcom previously tested using similar methods. That project ended up becoming the multiplayer component of Resident Evil 3 Remake.

Whatever Capcom has cooking, you'll want to keep a close eye on it. Capcom recently filed a trademark for Dino Crisis, so it's entirely possible this might not have anything to do with Resident Evil at all. We could also see something from another Capcom franchise, such as Monster Hunter or Mega Man.

We'll be keeping our eyes open for more news on this unannounced Capcom title. If we're able to suss out what the game might be, we'll be sure to let you know.
