GTA 6 Will Punish Jason And Lucia If You Stick To One Classic Playstyle
One of the hallmarks of the "Grand Theft Auto" series has always been allowing people to play the games however they want. While there isn't anything to suggest that that won't also be the case for "Grand Theft Auto 6," that doesn't mean the game won't use your gameplay style against you. More specifically, if you approach "GTA 6" like a classic "GTA" game and just wreak havoc day after day after day without letting your characters rest, the results are going to show on Jason's and Lucia's faces and bodies.
According to the upcoming "GTA 6" feature in Dazed magazine (which can already be previewed digitally), one of the many systems that will be present in "GTA 6" revolves around the need to take care of Jason and Lucia as you play. That is to say, if they don't eat right, if they party too hard, if they don't stay in shape, and if they don't get enough sleep, the physical toll it will take on their bodies will be as noticeable as it will be severe. But it will apparently work both ways, as keeping them fit, healthy, and well-rested will make them look as good as they've been looking in those trailers — perhaps, even better.
This will be far more than just CJ getting fat or buff in San Andreas
This news will likely have you thinking back to "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," the first game in the "GTA" series that featured the ability to sculpt the main character's physique by way of player action. However, it was limited entirely to CJ getting buff if you worked out a lot, or CJ getting fat if you ate too much. Other than a few levels of progression on the way to one extreme or the other, that was the extent of the transformation in "GTA."
Like with many of the most ambitious features of "San Andreas," "Grand Theft Auto 4" sacrificed a lot of them in favor of what was at the time a previously unforeseen level of size, scope, and detail for a crowded urban environment in a video game. "GTA 5" brought a lot of that stuff back, but among the returning features wasn't bodies that reacted to how healthy your character's lifestyle was or wasn't. It seems as though we had to wait for "GTA 6" for that.
If that Dazed article is anything to go by, there will be a lot more going on that just bigger pecs or a rounder belly. Even the characters' faces will show subtle signs of hard living, and given the incredible amount of detail that has already been shown of Jason's and Lucia's bodies — as well as the ridiculous amount of diversity in body types across all the NPCs — don't be surprised if no two players' versions of the main characters' bodies look exactly the same after the world has been playing "GTA 6" for a month or two.
