You Can Witness Your Mortal Kombat 11 Destruction In 1st Person Now

The first-person perspective has traditionally been tied to shooters ever since BJ Blazkowicz began gunning down Nazis in Wolfenstein 3D. Of course, Rockstar brought such a feature to GTA 5 but made the mistake of implementing it after its release. There's something about getting up-close and personal with carnage and gore that seems to draw gamers in. With that said, few franchises embrace over-the-top bloodshed and violence like the Mortal Kombat series.

For those who have always wanted to feel as if they were right up in Sub-Zero's face while delivering a brutal beating, such a desire can now be a reality. A modder by the name of ermaccer posted a video demonstrating some bloody combat with all-new camera angles, including a first-person beatdown.

It begins with an over-the-shoulder view, which doesn't seem to offer the best presentation. The second segment brings the action into the eyes of the fighter, which is far more exciting. In the last part, a higher OTS angle offers what could be a better option than the first, should you prefer such a perspective.

These new angles are all thanks to the efforts of ermaccer, who was able to break the standard camera free and set it up in a variety of alternate positions. Just imagine how much fun it would be to deliver a heart-warming friendship to John Rambo as if you were standing right next to him.

Considering that Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate recently received a next-gen upgrade, it's the perfect time to be able to get right up in the action with your favorite fighters and guest characters. Right now, the mod is available to PC users, but is it possible that this hacked feature could be integrated into the next Mortal Kombat?

It wouldn't be the first time that a Mortal Kombat game took inspiration from its fans. The MK series is known for its extensive cheats and secrets, including some of the ninjas, several of which originally began as a hoax. The Mortal Kombat series has undergone some stunning transformations over the years, so it's entirely possible that a first-person perspective will be the future for the legendary fighting franchise. As YouTube user FlakMonky20k suggested in the comment section of the video, this could be a great opportunity for some Mortal Kombat VR.

Mortal Kombat has been around for almost 30 years now, but it's never too late. The series could begin a new trend for fighting games. Until that happens, fans can use the mod to step into the shoes of their favorite MK fighters.
