How Long Does It Take To Beat Monster Hunter Rise?
Monster Hunter Rise is a timed Switch exclusive that is sure to enthrall players for hours upon hours after its release, but some people want to know how long the main campaign will take to complete.
YouTuber Arekkz sat down with Monster Hunter Rise director Yasunori Ichinose and producer Ryozo Tsujimoto to discuss the new game and ask hard hitting questions about the game's development cycle. While Arekkz asked the big questions, like should certain monsters have beards (they absolutely should), he also had a discussion with Ichinose and Tsujimoto about the game's campaign, and more specifically, how many hours players might spend beating the campaign in Monster Hunter Rise.
Surprisingly, there are a few different answers to this question, with the first coming from Capcom itself and the second coming from reviewers who have played through the game. Until more players report how long the campaign was for them, readers can make up their own minds about which answer is correct.
Two different takes on Monster Hunter Rise's campaign length
Arekkz acknowledged that it could take players different amounts of time to complete the game, as everyone is different. Ichinose said that he expects players to make it through the main story in about 20-30 hours. Of course, Monster Hunter games always offer more than just a story, and players can expect to spend countless hours farming gear and mastering the combat system.
However, Destructoid's review of Monster Hunter Rise indicated that players might be able to blow through the story in about 15 hours, if they really want to rush the experience. The review stated that "the game begins when the credits roll," and that the true fun of Monster Hunter Rise is the end game, when more powerful monsters appear and bigger challenges await.
No matter what kind of player sits down with Monster Hunter Rise, there's something good in store for them. Critics gave the game glowing reviews, and players like Arekkz have been hyping Monster Hunter Rise for months. If you have any doubts, just check out the extensive demo Capcom provided to fans.
