Evil Genius 2: World Domination is set to release on March 30, 2021, which means there's no time like the present to figure out which Evil Genius you will call your own. In a Nov. 5, 2020 development blog on the official Evil Genius site, Evil Genius 2: World Domination Lead Designer Rich Edwards walked through everything you need to know about the pros and cons of each Evil Genius. All in all, you can choose between four characters with unique abilities, plotlines, campaigns, and Doomsday Devices, each catered to a specific playstyle.

No matter who you choose, your goal will be protecting your Evil Genius and helping them achieve the ultimate goal: World Domination. If you're new to playing Evil Genius games, here's the slate of evil-doers you'll have to choose from, along with some information about their strengths and how those might complement the way you wish to play the game.

Sinister and Specialized

Maximillian is back from the original game and better (well, worse) than ever. Edwards describes this Evil Genius as an "all-rounder" who is perfect for beginners thanks to his lightning-speed minion training capabilities. You'll have Specialists working for you in no time, and soon after, mountains of gold.

Red Ivan, meanwhile, lives by the phrase "Might Makes Right" and shows resilience in combat. According to Edwards, he's got "armed Guards on every single corner." His Rocket Launcher, back from the last game, is sure to bring the bravado. Warning: things might go up in flames, but it'll be a blast.

Zalika consistently shines with science and research, though she'll need extra support from Technicians and Scientists. You'll never have to worry about your Lair looking lackluster, thanks to her Nano-Drones who can repair Furniture and even put out fires. If you're a fan of brains over brawns, Zalika is your pick.

Last but not least, former Spymaster Emma is all about the Deception Tree. Sneak up on World Domination by working tightly with Henchmen to gain efficiency and power. Emma's playstyle varies depending on your Henchmen choices. Voiced by Samantha Bond, AKA Moneypenny from the Pierce Brosnan days of James Bond, fans of spy cinema are sure to gravitate towards Emma.
