The Callisto Protocol Collector's Edition: What's Included?

Fans of cosmic horror are marking their calendars for Dec. 2, 2022, because after a long wait, "The Callisto Protocol" is finally arriving. Though the game was originally meant to be part of the "PUBG" universe, that's since changed. However, "The Callisto Protocol" hopefuls can take solace in the fact that despite a lack of connection to "PUBG," it still has an impressive pedigree, thanks to the involvement of "Dead Space" co-creator Glen Schofield.

Announced via Twitter on July 7, 2022, "The Callisto Protocol" Collector's Edition comes with a number of collectibles and extra features, including both physical and in-game content. Though this specific edition won't be released for PC, it will be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

In addition to the Collector's Edition, "The Callisto Protocol" players on both PC and console can choose the Day One Edition, which comes with the game, a Retro Prisoner Character Skin, and two Retro Prisoner Weapon Skins. There's also the Digital Deluxe Edition, which comes with all that plus a season pass. Cost will likely be a deciding factor for many players. The Day One Edition costs $59.99 and the Digital Deluxe Edition retails for $79.99, while the highly impressive Collector's Edition goes for a whopping $249.99. Here's what's included.

The PlayStation exclusive items may be a big draw for fans on those platforms, as detailed by Glen Schofield in a recent PlayStation.blog post. For the most part, players will have to decide if they are willing to spend the extra $150 on mostly collectibles, since little from this list will actually help players in-game. That being said, players looking to get a leg up in "The Calisto Protocol" may want to consider a special edition for the digital benefits.
