How Do The Fortnite Season 10 Battle Pass Missions Work?

Today marked the arrival of Fortnite Season 10, and the challenges you know and love from past seasons are officially dead and gone. At the moment, Daily Challenges appear to have disappeared entirely. And Weekly Challenges? They're mostly bound to the Battle Pass, and are now part of themed groups called Missions.

So, how to the Fortnite Season 10 Battle Pass missions work? We'll give you the rundown.

B.R.U.T.E. Squad is a limited-time mission in Fortnite, and is the only one accessible to free players. We don't have the scoop on all the objectives you'll need to complete just yet, as only one — play three matches with a friend — is unlocked thus far. But we can tell you that you'll be able to net yourself 30 Battle Stars and 3,500 XP by completing all of the B.R.U.T.E. Force mission objectives.

The Road Trip mission is more akin to the Weekly Challenges of old. This missions asks you to complete a number of objectives in matches, with each completed objective earning you a reward of some kind. Completing a number of regular objectives will unlock Prestige-tier missions, which are even more valuable. Complete every mission objective in the Road Trip section and you'll wind up with 50 Battle Stars and 5,000 XP.

The Level-Headed mission is all about styling your Fortnite character. Each objective completed returns a different reward, which can either be a new skin or a new emote. Many of the skins are alternative styles for current Battle Pass characters, which may explain why the Level-Headed mission itself is locked behind the Battle Pass.

And finally, there's the Rumble Royale mission. This mission is all about completing objectives in Team Rumble, a Fortnite mode that most closely adheres to the deathmatch rules of shooters like Halo or Call of Duty. There are normal objectives in Rumble Royale as well as Prestige objectives, and completing them all will get you 50 Battle Stars, 5,000 XP, and a cool new harvesting tool called Fang Saws.

We imagine future missions will work much the same way; with something limited-time coming along every once in a while for free players, and Battle Pass missions that focus on certain themes or activities. We'll be back with the newest missions next week, so stay tuned.
