Famous People Who Can't Stand Tfue
Esports and streaming are serious business. If a person is skilled enough with video games, they can make some real bank playing in large scale competitions or sharing videos on platforms like Twitch and Mixer. Some colleges offer esports scholarships, and even the International Olympic Committee has considered welcoming esports into the Olympics.
With any form of competition you can expect controversy and drama. In the wide world of esports and streaming, tempers run high and rivalries seem more common than friendships. The problem with trying to be number one is that there can only be one.
Turner "Tfue" Tenney made a career streaming Fortnite, and has played the starring role in several controversies along the way. Tfue has been banned from Twitch more than once, and he even received a permanent Epic Games account ban for allegedly buying and selling accounts. Needless to say, Tfue rubs some people the wrong way.
The Tfue and Ninja rivalry is the stuff of legends
Tyler "Ninja" Blevins is the face of Fortnite, and not just because his face is literally in the game as a skin. The streamer is an avid Fortnite player who lives and breathes the title, not unlike Tfue. One would assume they would be best buddies and get along like hammers and nails, but instead they have some serious beef with one another.
Trying to figure out who threw the first proverbial punch is an exercise in futility that deserves to replace the "chicken or the egg causality dilemma." Nobody knows if Ninja antagonized Tfue first or vice versa, but they have yet to stop dunking on one another. Tfue makes a video where he bests Ninja, and Ninja creates a post where he defeats Tfue. Ninja's Twitter account is hacked and the hacker challenges Tfue to a fight, and Tfue responds by claiming Ninja tried to get him permanently banned.
Admittedly, Ninja has stated in no uncertain terms that he doesn't hate Tfue and doesn't want to fight him. However, the April 25 Mr Beast debacle where Tfue leaked the fellow streamer's private phone number resulted in Ninja, yet again, calling out his fellow streamer.
Tfue sued FaZe Clan, and FaZe Clan sued back
In 2018, FaZe Clan co-owner Richard Bengston, a.k.a. FaZe Banks, recruited Tfue into the FaZe Clan ranks, which reportedly did wonders for Tfue's popularity. According to Bengston, Tfue's fanbase and views exploded after signing up with FaZe Clan. Just over a year later, Tfue sued FaZe Clan because the contract he signed was, as he put it, "grossly oppressive."
In response, FaZe Banks posted a video proclaiming that he felt hurt and betrayed by the lawsuit since he and Tfue had been thick as thieves. Eventually, FaZe Clan fired back with a lawsuit of its own, stating Tfue's claims were egregiously false. FaZe's counterclaim asserts that Tfue filed his lawsuit to get out of his contract early and create his own rival esports team.
On the bright side, FaZe Banks has stated that he wants to roll back his relationship with Tfue to a better time. However, nobody knows if the case (or their quarrel) will be resolved soon.
