Ryan previously worked as a features writer for Screen Rant, where he focused on articles about Genshin Impact. He followed this up with a role as a game reviewer and features writer for The Nerd Stash as well as working Audio/Graphics for College ESPN+ broadcasts.. He joined SVG in 2023.

Ryan has a bachelor's degree in English and theater from the College of the Holy Cross.
