Warzone 2.0 Invisibility Glitch Has Players Fuming

The "Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0" launch didn't go quite as smoothly as some may have expected. In fact, NME reported that the server stability issues, lag, and weird UI problems all contributed to the pretty bad Steam reviews "Warzone 2.0" saw. Less than a week after the game was released, there was a new problem plaguing Al Mazrah: invisible enemies.

Frustrated players started sharing their experiences on Twitter, including content creator XSET SuperEv. In his clip, SuperEv reviewed the footage where he died along with the kill cam that showed the enemy's position. The enemy should've been in clear sight, but they weren't visible at all. Other players shared similar clips, and one player exclaimed that certain things make sense now as they thought they were "going blind" before.

Unfortunately, even more bugs were shared in response to the invisibility glitch, including one where an AI enemy was glitched in the middle of the air while streamer @DrSmoke909 was returning from the Gulag.

While some took a more positive approach and made jokes about the issue, like FaZe Kalei, many fans were having flashbacks to the original "Warzone."

Warzone's history with invisibility glitches

The invisibility glitch may have just started popping up in "Warzone 2.0," but it was a game-breaking bug during the days of the first "Warzone." Longtime players were dismayed to see the invisibility issue already make an appearance in "Warzone 2.0," especially since it took months to fix it according to one fan.

Twitter user @Be_my_minion shared a potential cause for the bug, hypothesizing that servers can't load in players as quickly as the gameplay of "Warzone 2.0" requires. They applied this idea to SuperEv's clip because the invisible enemy appears (or doesn't appear) after SuperEv takes a zip up the side of a building, which goes pretty fast. This is just a theory, but others speculated that it could be due to the building as well.

"Warzone 2.0" already had a lot of players worried and unhappy for a variety of reasons before the invisibility glitch, including NickMercs and DrDisrespect. Some fans even questioned the developers on whether or not they care about the game. The invisibility glitch caused several players to be frustrated with the entire game. After all, it's hard enough to kill enemies even with the perfect loadout for busted guns like the M4. It's impossible to kill them if they're also invisible.
