Nintendo Games, Platformers, Dungeons & Dragons
  • John previously served as a freelance writer on video games for Screen Rant, where he produced over 40 articles.
  • He has written articles for his hometown and college newspapers, covering subjects ranging from the arts, to local nonprofits, to campus news, and yes, to video games.
  • Video games are life-long hobby of John's, particularly Nintendo games (with an emphasis on The Legend of Zelda, Pokémon, and Super Smash Bros). He also has a love for platformers and Dungeons & Dragons campaigns.

From his days playing Pokémon Red at five years old with absolutely no clue what he was doing, John has grown up with games. Fast-forward a decade later, and he began writing news and feature pieces for his high school paper. He has written since then for his hometown newspaper, the Massachusetts Daily Collegian, and Entrepreneurship & Innovation Exchange, an academic journal. Post-college, he finally came full circle to writing about his life-long love of games with a stint as a freelance writer at Screen Rant. These experiences helped him learn to adapt his writing to new styles and subject matters. In his spare time, John also produces a podcast for his father ("Everything Thought Leadership") and assists in marketing his book.

John graduated from University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and a Certificate of Film Studies, both of which helped him hone his rhythm and flow for storytelling.
