Experience

Steve began console gaming as a young child, quickly discovering a passion for all things related to video games and nerd culture in general. He began writing about video games while working on his Ph.D. and made the jump from academia to gaming journalism and commentary. When he's not writing or working on his degree, Steve hosts the Social Science Fiction podcast.

Education

Steve graduated from University of Hartford with a BA in Politics and Government and from Penn State with a Master's in International Affairs. He is currently working on his Ph.D. at Boston College. His education has instilled in him a passion and talent for researching and writing about a number of diverse topics. He has also developed a joy for analyzing and deconstructing the politics of video game settings.
